Plenty of ARC Raiders runs end with you crouched beside an empty landmark, wind throwing debris across your screen, while somebody else is already heading out with the Trial points. That's the Hurricane problem. First Wave Caches use normal Raider Cache points, not fixed boxes, so copying an old route can waste a whole deployment. You can still pull ARC Raiders BluePrints from them, but the March 3 loot change made high-tier materials and equipment a bigger part of the payoff. Build a route that bends with the storm instead.
Storm Windows and Cache Rules
Hurricane conditions arrived on February 24, 2026, and only affect outdoor maps. Stella Montis is out because its playable areas are indoors. The July 28 to August 3 Trials week gives 800 points per Search Raider Caches interaction. Version 1.39.0 launched July 28 with no listed changes to cache placement or rewards. A point can be empty, occupied, or already opened - and an opened cache can still give Trial credit if the interaction prompt remains.
Stop near each likely point and listen for the repeating electrical hum.
Turn slowly before searching rubble, walls, dips, trees, or service roads.
Give an empty landmark a short sweep, then move to the next cluster.
Check every open cache for an interaction before walking away.
Where Good Routes Fall Apart
On paper, the smart move looks simple: hit every known cache location and stack searches. In practice, players sprint into the wind toward one famous point, spend a minute combing random debris, then take a fight that leaves them nowhere near extraction. Buried City makes this worse. The hum may be behind a wall, below a street, or across a courtyard.
Run three zones, not the whole map. Start with the closest cluster, then take a second only if wind and extraction line up. On Dam Battlegrounds, chain Testing Annex west fields into Water Treatment, Hydroponic Dome, and Power Generation Complex. From the north, pair Controlled Access Zone with Red Lakes, then choose Electrical Substation only if the weather helps. Leave after a strong second cluster. Fair enough - one more marker is tempting. It usually isn't worth a long exposed return.
Pick Maps by Your Exit
Dam Battlegrounds has the best raw density, but its open lanes invite trouble. Buried City is strong for experienced solos: Church Ruins to Pharmacy, Library to Piazza Roma, then Hospital and Dune's End is a clean chain. Blue Gate suits shorter runs around Olive Grove, Pilgrim's Peak, Raider's Refuge, Ancient Fort, Highway Collapse, and The Checkpoint. Spaceport works when you land near Staff Parking and Maintenance Hangar, or Fuel Lines, Fuel Processing, Water Towers, and Service Buildings. Don't cross half the map for one isolated point.
Three Checks Before Deployment
Need Trial progress fast? Take Dam or Buried City, search the nearest two connected zones, then head for extraction. Need safer materials? Use Blue Gate and keep the route compact. Before dropping, check the wind, identify two nearby landmarks, and decide your exit trigger. If your pack is already carrying useful ARC Items, don't turn a good run into a greedy one. Secure the score, then queue again. |
